ManMohan Gupta

Being an Entrepreneur, writer, visionary political thinker, social worker and Gandhian,was born on August 4 ------, in the Marwar region of Rajasthan, have learned some early lessons from the university of life.

Suffering a big blow when i lost my mother,despite his tender age, took on the responsibilities that are the lot of the eldest son in a traditional Indian family.

My ambition, sense of responsibility towards my family and strong Marwari business ethic helped me create a Mithai business in Mumbai with my brothers and steered it over the decades to make it the grand success known as MM Mithaiwala.

Today, MM is a brand to reckon with in the Indian confectionary market thanks to its quality, hygiene standards and taste with a growing patron base in India and abroad.

Even as though i  build a successful business and raised a joint family, have never forsaken my  responsibility towards nation and society. Have played a stellar role in the various representative bodies of the Agarwal Samaj like the Akhil Bhartiya Vaishya Agrawal Mahasangh, Agrawal Seva Samaj, and Agra Bandhu Seva Samiti, Mumbai.

My role has been appreciated and honored through various awards at various prestigious community forums. Being an ardent Gandhian and loyal party worker of the Congress party, have supported various social service efforts through the Gandhi Vichar Manch, a forum created by him to disseminate Bapu’s social, economic and political thought.

I have authored six books and also penned several articles in leading dailies, magazines and journals published in India. 

My book of poems was published recently to much critical acclaim. I am also a member of the Steel Consumers Council government of India (Ministry of Steel), the Environment and Tourism Department of MPCC, and an esteemed member of the Maharashtra Rajya Agrawal Sammelan.
 

On the religious front have supported several dharmic programs and forums that include the 452nd Geeta Gyan Yagna Committee, Chinmaya Mission, Mumbai (1987), Ganeshotsav Mandal, Malad, Mumbai, Ramlila Samiti, Malad, Mumbai, ISKON Shrimad Bhagwat Saptah. Also have  helped build and support Smt. Shantidevi Chandrabhan Gupta Higher Secondary School, at Marwad Junction, in Rajasthan for several years now.
